A few days ago I had to reboot my computer and start from scratch. Whenever i try to watch a video clip (for example a highlight movie clip on wwe.com) the computer freezes. It wasn't this way last time, any way to fix this?
Thanks!

ok. Just wanted to make sure you were using WIndows as I have no idea about Macs WHen you say it freezes, does just the Internet Explorer sesion freeze, or the whole PC - i.e. do you have to switch it off and back on ?

I have to switch it off. What will happen is it says its "connecting" and then it will freeze and unfreeze and i can move my mouse a little bit. It would take forever to move my mouse from the bottom of the screen to the top. I am not patient enough to leave it there for a while so after 10 minutes i will restart it. I just was reading a trip report and you tube videos work.

like this ?
Sounds like it could be the media player plugin for IE. Might be worth downloading the latest version of Media Player from microsoft.com if so. Or it could simply be your IE Security settings are too high although this shouldn't crash the PC.

ok well I can replicate your problem here at work on a PC with the version of media Player that ships with XP. If I upgrade it, it fixes the problem. BUT I am not saying it will definitely fix your problem, just that it did for me. Good luck and let us know how you get on

Interesting.. OK another thing to try is to try opening the stream in Media Player directly to eliminate that. So, can you press Start, then Run, then type 'mplayer2'.
This should launch Media Player. Now choose File, Open. And in the Open box copy this link which I took from the wwe.com site you are trying to use:
Now, what should happen is that the video should play in the separate Media Player window. It may need to download some codecs first - this is normal. If this works, then I'd suggest there is a problem with your Internet Explorer installation. If it still crashes your PC then I'm even more confused...

Yeah, it says its connecting but it never gets past that and somewhat freezes. I've downloaded the IE patch and Jet audio, still nothing. This is the same with my WWE and Family guy clips from Limewire. They use to work before.
