I guess they dont realize that while they might live in a partial vacumm, economic black clouds will eventually effect them reducing demand and pricing on their their black gold for which their economy is over reliant on.

The reality is that they will plug along just fine. Irrespective of the price of oil they will be fine. The fact that they have been blocked out of most trades channels to the west has actually worked to cocoon them against the knock on effects of what we are seeing over here. They're not immune but they are in a strong spot.

based upon its oil producing revenue. The Iranian leaders sure do view global economics
in a strange kind of way. If oil prices continue to drop (as they normally do in a recession)
then other countries will have less of a "need" for Iran.

Interesting because I just heard this afternoon a ABC radio news report that some Iranian official or cleric announced it was very worried about its revenues....as they should be. They do not have a strong economy even with high oil prices and thats all they have to offer.

or less impetus to do something to to Iran in order to make it easier and less costly to get iranian oil. When oil prices are high, everyone goes nuts on the people producing it. when it is low, people dont really 'care' too much and pay the price.
